2022 Belt and Road Countries Program

PART ONE

Introduction

Shanghai Summer School, abbreviated as 3S, is a scholarship program provided by Shanghai Municipal Government. In 2022, Shanghai International Studies University (SISU) will host Belt and Road Countries Program which recruits 30 outstanding students, aiming to help them to get an objective and comprehensive understanding of Shanghai, understand the status of economic and social development in contemporary China. This year, the program will be held online. The scholarship will cover tuition and online activities.

PART TWO

Program

DURATION

From July 11 to August 5, 2022 (4 weeks).

COURSES & ACTIVITIES

1. Online Chinese courses, 18-20 class hour per week.

   Teaching time: Mon.-Fri. 15:00-18:15 (Beijing time) Before starting the class, there’s a placement test. SISU will arrange different classes according to students’ Chinese level.

2. Online cultural courses including Chinese traditional opera, calligraphy, paper cutting and online lectures.

3. Online activities including communication with Chinese students and Online visit of Shanghai.

QUALIFICATIONS

Middle Eastern countries citizen, senior high school graduates, with or without Chinese proficiency, over 16 and under 40 years old, in good health.

RECRUITMENT

SISU willrecruit 30 outstanding studentsamong the applicants for this program. If you are admitted, we will send you an email before July 11th to inform you the course schedule. If you didn’t receive the email, that means you may not participate the program this year.

Choose“Chinese Language Program Student”, On step 1 study plan, in study duration blank, choose”Shanghai Summer School 2022-Belt and Road Countries Program”， From 2022-7-11 To 2022-8-5”.
